Description
Monkeypox is a zoonotic disease caused by the Monkeypox virus (MPXV), a DNA virus that belongs to the Orthopoxvirus genus, which also includes variola virus (smallpox) and cowpox virus. The MPXV M1R protein is a type I transmembrane protein and is homologous to the vaccinia virus Copenhagen L1R protein. It is a critical component of the virus particle and is essential for viral entry and replication.
Leadgene® Monkeypox Virus (MPXV) M1R ELISA kit is an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) for the quantitative detection of M1R protein level in sample solution. The Monkeypox Virus (MPXV) M1R ELISA kit is for research use only (RUO). Not suitable for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.
Test Principle
Monkeypox Virus (MPXV) M1R ELISA kit is used to detect M1R protein in samples by sandwich ELISA method. This assay uses microplate pre-coated with mouse anti-M1R monoclonal antibody to the solid phase. M1R in the samples conjugates on solid phase and then react with the HRP conjugated mouse anti-M1R monoclonal antibody. Subsequent wash steps will residual unbound antibody. After incubation with substrate solution, the reaction is determined by the absorbance at 450 nm. Quantification of M1R protein level is accomplished by comparing the absorbance with standard curve.
