Description
SUMO Protease (ULP1, Ubiquitin-like-specific protease 1) is a highly active cysteine protease derived from Saccharomyces cerevisiae. ULP1 protease specifically recognizes the tertiary structure of SUMO rather than an amino acid sequence. It has often been used as a biotechnological tool for cleavage affinity purification tags such as ubiquitin-like (UBL) protein, and SUMO from fusion proteins. Therefore, detection of ULP1 Protease is important for evaluating the level of ULP1 Protease in samples.
Leadgene® SUMO Protease (ULP1) ELISA kit is an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) for the quantitative detection of ULP1 Protease level in cleavage sample solution. The SUMO Protease (ULP1) ELISA kit is for research use only (RUO). Not suitable for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.
Test Principle
SUMO Protease (ULP1) ELISA kit is used to detect ULP1 Protease in samples by sandwich ELISA method. This assay uses microplate pre-coated with mouse anti-ULP1 Protease monoclonal antibody to the solid phase. ULP1 Protease in the samples conjugates on solid phase and then react with the HRP conjugated mouse anti-ULP1 Protease monoclonal antibody. Subsequent wash steps will residual unbound antibody. After incubation with substrate solution, the reaction is determined by the absorbance at 450 nm. Quantification of ULP1 Protease level is accomplished by comparing the absorbance with standard curve.
