Description
Enterokinase is a highly specific serine protease that cleaves fusion proteins by recognizing the -(Asp)4 Lys sequence. It is commonly used to release the native protein from the N-terminal fusion peptide or protein.
Leadgene® Enterokinase ELISA kit is an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) for the quantitative detection of Enterokinase level in sample solution. The Enterokinase ELISA kit is for research use only (RUO). Not suitable for use in diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.
Product Note
- Leadgene Enterokinase ELISA Kit is designed for commonly used mutant enterokinase. We have incorporated three modifications (P92R, E185D, and C122S) on the antigen used for ELISA antibody production.
- These alterations are employed to facilitate cleavage processes. However, they may cause conformational differences in the enterokinase protein.
Test Principle
Enterokinase ELISA kit is used to detect enterokinase in samples by sandwich ELISA method. This assay uses microplate pre-coated with mouse anti-nuclease monoclonal antibody to the solid phase. Enterokinase in the samples conjugates on solid phase and then react with the HRP conjugated mouse anti-enterokinase monoclonal antibody. Subsequent wash steps will residual unbound antibody. After incubation with substrate solution, the reaction is determined by the absorbance at 450 nm. Quantification of nuclease level is accomplished by comparing the absorbance with standard curve.
