Background

PD-L2, or Programmed Death-Ligand 2, is a transmembrane protein expressed on antigen-presenting cells and non-hematopoietic cells. It functions as a ligand for the programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1) receptor on T cells, delivering inhibitory signals that regulate immune responses.
